No, because LOC is a meaningless measure. Put it this way: The first
1,000 LOC in a system are much easier to write than the last 1,000; even
more so when you go from version 1.0 to 1.1. What's worse, you're
trying to measure Stallman based on what he does now, not what he did at
his best, yet you're happy to measure Thompson on the opposite basis.
Then there's the poorest part of the metric: you're boosting the value
of people who write long programs and devaluing those who write them
concisely.
