Greg,

Pull your head in or step up and contribute...

Don't like my interests - then BE QUIET or bring out something that
interests YOU.

Don't like that I criticise RMS - then *Show Me The Money*.
My thesis is he's over-rated as a coder.
I'm more than happy to be shown I'm wrong.
Don't just pout and say something lame like "you don't get it".
It's a question of *facts*.

Unix V6, V7, Plan 9, Samba & Linux - the LOC can all be counted.
Not idle on my part nor "historically impossible".

Perhaps you read my post as "these people are great and this person is
bad". That's not a valid inference... Get over yourself.

Bitching from the sidelines is easy - maybe the lucidity and skill with
which you do this has its base in practice.

Can I infer from your (personal) attack you are going:
 - to stand for Chair
 - take time out over the next 3 years to rebuild & re-energise AUUG
 - create a second-to-none conference this year?

If not, your commentary & opinion is worthless.

regards
s
