I think there is an awesome opportunity here to bring together our community
around Open Source and Free Software - *not* just Linux. I know that doesn't
satisfy the interests of proprietary UNIX users, but I think it's abundantly
clear now -- particularly with the release of OpenSolaris, and the strategic
interests of the remaining big UNIX vendors -- that Open Source is where we
are all headed, and we need a strong, unified organisation to represent that
future. I will be rocking the boat within Linux Australia to make it happen.
