For printing and file sharing, you need to run Samba on your Unix
machine (see http://samba.org/).  For simple terminal emulation, I
would suggest Putty (see http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/).
Others will suggest other solutions, no doubt.
