AUUG Elections 2005 - Call for Nominations

Dear AUUG members,

This is the official Call for Nominations for AUUG Officers and Management
Committee members for the 2005-2006 financial year.  With the permission of
the AUUG President, this call is only going out via email, and not in dead
tree form.  Note that (as mentioned in last year's Call for Nominations
email) all financial non-institutional AUUG members, including Honorary Life
Members and Student Members, are eligible to be nominated.

Nominations are open for the following positions:
    - President
    - Vice President
    - Secretary
    - Treasurer
    - Ordinary Committee Member (5 positions)
    - Returning Officer
    - Assistant Returning Officer

Attached you will find a sample nomination form suitable for printing.
Alternatively, any piece of paper that identifies the nominee and the
positions sought, identifies three nominators and is signed by them, and is
signed by the nominee to indicate consent can serve as a nomination form
(subject to compliance with Section 21.2 of the AUUG Constitution).

All nomination forms must be received by AUUG Inc. by 14th April 2005.

You can submit your nomination form by any of the following means:

(2) Fax to: +61 2 8824 9522

(3) By hand to the Secretary or the Business Manager.

With your nomination form you are encouraged to submit a policy statement.
This statement may contain, in point form, your name, personal details and
positions held within AUUG. This can be followed by a general statement of up
to 200 words (as counted by UNIX 'wc').

If you are at all interested in the future of AUUG or what AUUG can do for
members then you are strongly encouraged to nominate.
