How are they connected? All on one network segment or two? If two, how
are the network segments joined? Through one of the servers? Is one of
the servers a gateway do they talk to the rest of the world through a
router, or is/are this/these LAN(s) completely isolated from the world?

It seems odd to do DHCP on one machine and DNS on the other, since the
two functions are often related.
