Steve,

The following threads are in motion:

1) AUUG is putting together a 'Primer' for the attendees of the
forthcoming NOIE event on Linux and Open Source:
 http://www.noie.gov.au/projects/egovernment/Better_Infrastructure/oss.htm

This will cover much of the material needed to be an MIS-level briefing
document on Open Source for .gov types. This primer will be supplied to
all the attendees of the NOIE symposium.

I should have this ready as a first-draft in the second week of January. I
can send this through to you for review and re-use.

2) Open Source Victoria (www.osv.org.au) are working on a document which
will essentially do the same, but at a more technical level, targeting
systems people in government and business. This document will be made
available to all interested parties, for review and re-use.

I should have this ready as a first-draft by about March.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Con Zymaris
