[Cook] Cook error: lefthand...more than one word

I may be  a bit out of practice with Cook, having been busy with other 
things the last year.  What am I doing wrong in my Howto.cook file?  I 
get the error "lefthand side of assignment is more than one word" on the 
line with asterisks (which aren't in the actual cook file). 

dimstat: dimstat.d cmdoptions.d
{
  dmd -of=dimstat     dimstat.d cmdoptions.d ;    ****
}

I'm 84.76% sure that this has nothing to do with using the dmd (D 
language compiler) command, but is Cook's execution of the cookfile.
