* 3 month contract for Unix Expert
* Immediate start!
 
3 month contract opportunity for an experienced Solaris System Administrator.
Primarily we are targeting candidates with a min of 5-8 years Solaris Unix
System Admin Experience - extremely high competency in Solaris incl volume
management,clustering,dns,nis etc,scripting etc. Past experience in mass
provisioning of patch bundles/os upgrades/security hardening would be very
highly regarded as would extensive scripting capabilities. 
 
Experience in the following disciplines.
* 5 years minimum experience in supporting enterprise-class UNIX infrastructure
  as a System Administrator.
* Excellent knowledge with commercial variants or Unix, preferably Sun Solaris
  versions 2.6, 7, 8, and 9 .
* Proven ability in Solution Architecture Role encompassing the design,
  implementation and configuration of Highly Available Sun Cluster 3.0
  solutions.
* High Availability-API Scripting.
* Excellent UNIX shell scripting and/or Programming capabilities.
* Configuration of Storage Area Networks and related Storage Devices (EMC
  Celerra /Sun StorEdge/HP XP )
* Excellent understanding of LAN/WAN Networks
* Configuration of mass provisioning tools such as Solaris Jumpstart/Live
  Upgrade.
* Excellent understanding of Unix Security Issues and 3rd part compliancy
  products eg CA ePCM.
* Accreditation or thorough knowledge in Service Delivery, Problem and Change
  Mgmt methodologies eg ITIL.
* Proven ability to mentor staff.
* Proven ability to deliver high caliber documentation.
* Ability to scope/resource/implement and document solutions to agreed Project
  deadlines.
* Certifications in Solaris/HP System Administration 
* Thorough understanding in Bind DNS/Sendmail/Veritas Foundation Suite/Solaris
  Volume Management.
* Certification/configuration of Sun Cluster 3/ MC Service Guard HA solutions
  desirable.
