"DESIGNING THE FUTURE 2005 - ULTRA-BROADBAND AND THE INTERNET"

DTF'05 will be held on Wednesday 6 April at the ATP, and will focus on the
implications of massive Internet bandwidth for business, medicine,
education, communities and the IT industry.

This one day forum will bring you highlights of the evolving global Internet
- not blue sky research, but imminent developments going mainstream: we pack
into one day what most other conferences attempt in three days!

Some of the topics covered:
* Development in Asian telecommunications, particularly Korea
* Canada's next generation network
* The Last Mile Arms Race

This is no simple talk-fest - it will *show* you what's on the way. We are
broadcasting everything over the Internet with the Access Grid ("video
conferencing on steroids"), and presenting a live concert with a difference
- musicians in far-apart cities playing together - an Australian first!

This event is being organised jointly by ac3, Smart Internet CRC, ISOC-AU,
and GrangeNet.

For a brochure, program details and online registration, see:
http://www.isoc-au.org.au/DTF05/ . AUUG members are invited to attend at
the "associated organisation" rate of $250.
