Policy makers to address AUUG'2004 conference

AUUG is pleased to announce that policy makers from the three major 
parties in the Australian Federal Parliament are going to address the 
AUUG 2004 conference.

Senator Kate Lundy, the Shadow Minister for Information Technology from 
the Australian Labor Party, will deliver the conference opening keynote 
address (Wed 1-sep-2004, 9:10am).

Ms Jess Healy, Australian Democrats Candidate for the Federal Senate, 
will give a brief keynote on the second day of the conference (Thu 
2-sep-2004, 4:15pm).

Finally, a representative of Senator Helen Coonan,  Minister for 
Communications, Information Technology and the Arts from the Liberal 
Party of Australia, will address the closing session on the conference 
(Fri 3-sep-2004, 4:15pm).

With a Federal election looming, the AUUG'2004 conference represents a 
unique opportunity to hear first hand the approach each of the major 
parties is taking to Open Standards, Open Source and Linux.
