Invitation to participate in the NSW Government Survey re Open Source

Dear AUUG Member,

The IT Skills Hub is conducting a study for the NSW Office of
Information Technology, on the current state of usage of open source
software, and the availability and depth of open source skills in NSW.
Industry analyst Gartner expects spending on open source products, such
as Linux, to rise significantly, and the NSW government wants to get an
insight into whether NSW has an adequate skills base to benefit from
future opportunities.

NSW based organizations are invited to participate in the survey that
would give an insight into the use and uptake of open source products
among companies in NSW.

IT Skills Hub is doing two parallel surveys:  one of industry and one of
education and training providers (public and private). These are
available for down load at:
