Here is the original announcement
SAGE-AU is pleased to announce the
2003 Tasmanian IT Conference
Monday 24th Feburary 2003.
The old Woolstore, Hobart
The 14th Annual Tasmanian IT Conference, presented by SAGE-AU, is a
one-day technical conference providing an informal, technical forum for
presentation of currentinformation on a wide range of subjects.
Issues covered will be of interest to systems administrators,
programmers and managers who have responsibility for developing and
maintaining computing environments. A quick glance at the program (see
URL below) shows a wide range of areas being covered, including storage,
wireless networks and security.
The Conference has become a regular feature of the Tasmanian computing
scene, and has grown be the largest annual computing conferences in the
state. This year's event features an excellent range of speakers, both
local and interstate. Registration fees have, again, been kept to a
minimum.
The conference provides an opportunity for IT users in Tasmania to get
to know each other and find out what others are doing. Last year's
Conference Seminar attracted over 70 participants, representing public
and private sector organisations from all over Tasmania. There will be
an evening drinks and nibbles session, thanks to Oracle Australia, to
wrap up the day's events, giving delegates the opportunity to chat with
colleagues in an informal atmosphere.
